Why I am so late to my blog.

I’ve been struggling with my book. It didn’t print too well last December when I thought I was done. There were several problems with the draft that needed fixing. I had been reluctant to fix them because I knew to do what was required would take me a year to implement.

Well, they did.

I’m trying to evolve past writing long fiction, but I kept having epiphanies and had to make those improvements to the draft. And when I change one thing I have to change everything.

The draft was hanging on and hanging on, like in classic Supremes song, “You keep me hanging on.” Finally I got closure on this but it took so long. Well here I am on the other side of it.

I have to do just a couple of things, then send it to my printer, get it approved, then wait for it to go up on Amazon, then post it as another piece of drama literature. I’m on the downslope, though, and I can finally free to work on my new play about reconciliation in a transracial family. Whew.

I am a happier person than I was yesterday at this time.
