Make Peace With the Moment

Thursday I was quite thrilled that they had lifted mask mandates on mass transit, or “Masked Transit,” as I call it. I often take buses, so that meant a lot.

Yesterday, the mandate, and the mask, went back on, and I was down in the dumps again.

Then after watching the nightly Ukraine War hour, I realized that what was I really complaining about. No Russians were shooting at me or destroying my community so I needed to lighten up and make peace with the moment. I needed to be less yo-yo-like, bouncing up and down with the vicissitudes of the hear and now.

I still want the masks off ASAP.
