I’ve been less than consciencious.

I’ve been less than conscientious on keeping with a regular blogging session.

I’ve thought about why this is.. Here’s what I have come up with. I’m doing several things at once. (1) Continue to spread the word about Troubles in Henry’s Nose to Senior Centers; (2) Finish my novel, X Marks the Spot, which I‘ve been done with twice, but which is still not done with me, and: (3) complete my new play, How do I tell you that I love You?, which has kidnapped my brain. In the meantime, we’ve been performing my most recent finished play, Alpheus, King of Somerset County, NJ. It’s a Zoom play and will probably lose its currency once the pandemic lets go of us. But its vision could be transformed into another play because it focuses on the same immutable question my characters are wrestling with in a transrational setting. Then there’s the book on the Curtis String Quartet I have to finish after X Marks the Spot. And dozens of other projects goading me.

I deal with this issue by asking myself what of the three leading contenders do I want to do today. I’ve decided to update my blog since it has been some time. The fact that if I try to do three things at once means that progress on any one of them is slower. So, I’m updating my blog. Then I have to play quartets soon. I stayed up to see a play last night, very good, so I’m a bit drifty and a nap will probably be in order after lunch.
